Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on Cashback

Q: When I purchase something, how do I earn cashback?

A: Firstly, you need to make sure that you are logged in to your account. Once you have found a retailer you wish to purchase from, click on the link to the retailer’s website and make your purchase in the normal way. Once your payment has gone through, a “pending” cashback payment should appear on your account within 24 hours.

Q: How much cashback do I earn on my purchases?

A: This varies from retailer to retailer. It is either a fixed amount, or a percentage of the amount you spend. Please check the website for details of these cashback rates. Please note: Most retailers do not pay cashback on V.A.T or delivery.

Q: How do I get my cashback?

A: There needs to be at least £25.00 in your “confirmed” cashback pot before you can withdraw any cashback. Then simply go to your payments page and click “withdraw”

Q: How do I make sure you are paying my cashback to the correct bank account?

A: We will only take your bank account details when you first ask us to pay into a bank account, after that you can update them in your settings

Q: How long do I have to wait for my cashback to arrive?

A: Please allow up to 4 working days for the transfer to go through to your chosen bank account.

Q: Please can you explain the status of cashback in my account?

A: There are 4 possible statuses in your account. These are: 1) Pending. This is when we have been informed by the retailer that you have made a purchase through them, but the money has not arrived yet, for us to pay you your cashback. 2) Confirmed. When we receive the money from the retailer, it is then transferred into your confirmed pot. 3) Ready to Withdraw. Once your confirmed cashback balance reaches £25.00, it is ready for you to withdraw. 4) Declined. Sometimes (very rarely), if you do not follow the terms and conditions of the cashback process, your payment for an item may be declined.

Q: My cashback is taking longer to arrive than I expected. Please can you explain why this would be the case?

A: Retailers pay a cashback reward to us, for referring your business to them through our website. There is always a “returns period” for items, should you change your mind and decide to return it. We have to wait until after this returns period, as the retailer cannot pay us the cashback until after this expires.

Q: Once the Returns Period is finished, what happens next?

A: The retailer then checks that you have complied with the terms and conditions of the cashback offer. Assuming that everything has been done correctly, they will then pay us the cashback and this will be added to your “Confirmed” pot.

Q: How long can the cashback process take?

A: The maximum time the process should take is 3 months for normal retail purchases, or 6 months for any financial products, such as insurance. Most of the time, payments are made much quicker than this though.

Q: Are there any exclusions that I need to know about?

A: Yes, there are occasions where your cashback may not be paid. These are listed below:

  • Where you have not met the retailer’s terms and conditions
  • Where you have either cancelled, amended or returned an item
  • If you use a discount code or voucher on the purchase, which has not been provided by us
  • If you use a gift card or shopping card to facilitate the purchase
  • If you take more than one visit to purchase a product
  • If you do not purchase a product wholly online
  • Where another referrer (for example a Price Comparison Site, a Search Engine or a Rewards Site), is awarded the commission.

Q: The amount of cashback is not the same as my calculation. Please can you explain why this might be?

A: This could be for various reasons. Some of these are listed below:

  • Cashback is not paid on V.A.T and/or delivery.
  • If you purchased insurance, this is normally registered as £0.00 cashback until you have made an agreed number of payments (normally 1 payment). This will then be updated to the correct amount of cashback.
  • The item you purchased may have been ineligible for cashback. Please check eligibility on the website.
  • Some retailers pay an initial base rate of cashback and a second payment at a later date. Again, this will be in the retailer’s terms and conditions.

Q: I clicked on a link which was not working. How do I report this?

A: Please report this to us so that we can fix the problem. Please provide as much information as possible, including screenshots where available.

Q: The voucher code you gave me is not working. What can I do?

A: Again, we would like to hear about this so that we can contact the retailer to correct the problem. If you want to take advantage of the discounted price, please do NOT purchase your item without the voucher code until we fix the problem, as discounts cannot be applied retrospectively if a voucher code was not used.

Q: How do you make sure that all my information and card details are secure?

A: As with most modern online technology, when your card details are entered, it is encrypted on secure webpages using Password Encryption technology as well as SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and Data Encryption. This means that we are unable to see your card details, as they only appear in encrypted format. We will never ask you to provide the details of your security code or your pin.
